….that Texecom updated the Texecom Connect app last Thursday 30th October. This update was released following beta testing that had been ongoing since July 2025.
As well as some minor design updates, several changes have been made to the layout of the app so, in this article, we answer some of the questions we’ve received from customers since the update.
How do I enable Face ID/Biometric?
Face ID can be enabled in the following menu:
Menu > Manage Users > Panel Users > Select the user > Use Biometric
How do I generate an app code?
App codes can be generated in the following menu:
Menu > Manage Users > Panel Users > Select the user > + Mobile Device
Why can the master user see all codes?
The master user has full control over the system, including the ability to view and manage all other user codes. This is intentional, as the master user is designed to oversee the entire system and its users.
If a user prefers not to see or manage other users, they can simply log in to the app using a standard user code instead.
How do I omit zones on the app?
Zones can be omitted from the following menu:
Rooms > Security > Press the green icon of the zone you want to omit
When a zone is omitted, the icon will turn grey.
How do I access different Areas on the app?
Areas are no longer accessed by swiping. The Area list now appears in the top left-hand corner of the Home Screen.
How do I enable the emergency button?
The emergency button can be enabled by completing the following:
Enable PA on the LAST keypad on the system, even if it isn’t fitted
(you can enable fire/medical too if required)
On the Connect app, synchronise the panel:
Menu > Sync Panel
The SOS button will appear on the Home Screen, which includes the reset button.
How do I assign a zone to a room?
Zones can be assigned in the following menu:
Menu > Zone Devices > Tap the 3 dots on the zone
